The Centre of Mathematics (CMAT) is calling for expressions of interest from prospective PhD students across a number of pre-determined research themes. 
The CMAT is a research unit of the School of Sciences of the University of Minho, with a pole at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, composed of more than 60 researchers whose work covers a large range of fundamental and applied mathematical topics.
The candidate will be hosted by CMAT at one of the research groups: “Algebra, Logic and Computation”, “Analysis and Applications”, “Geometry, Topology and Applications”, and “Statistics, Applied Probability and Operational Research”. 


All applicants must apply for admission to the 2020/2021 edition of the Doctoral Programme MAP-PDMA. 


The applicants are strongly encouraged to an individual fellowship application to FCT. Other fellowship opportunities will be announced soon.
